About Hallucination Before Christmas

Hallucination Before Christmas (HBC) is an annual holiday music event in Tampa, where Christmas and Halloween collide in one night of holiday havoc. Since 1995, HBC has grown into what many call the most famous underground holiday event in the Southeast.

The 2026 edition takes place Saturday, December 12, 2026, at The Castle in Ybor City: four themed rooms and more than 30 artists, with custom-built props, video-mapped structures, a festival-grade sound system from ESI, go-go dancers, performance artists, and walkabout characters.

Who we are

HBC is produced by Hallucination Media, LLC, a Tampa creative production studio. We design and build immersive environments, projection and LED mapping, stage design, and live visual production, and HBC is where we bring all of it together each year.

Giving back

Every year we ask attendees and artists to bring at least three cans of food for Feeding America. Past events have collected more than 2,500 pounds of food, about 2,050 meals for families in need.
